#Please Don't Go - Chapter I

Chapter I

It was Dec. 24, the city was all lit up, Christmas Eve and there and then a few days the new year, the date of resumption.
Jonah was in front of the window to the second floor, a cigarette between his fingers and on the other hand a cup of coffee. Janine was in his prime in his home as other family celebrating Christmas.Everything seemed calm and that nothing would shake the peace, but Jonah was ready that night to tell the whole truth to his parents.
Jonah went down the stairs slowly, his face there was no sign of happiness, not even the atmosphere was contagious, the only thing I thought was the reaction from their parents who would certainly be negative. Sought with the eyes where Janine was and sat beside her, exchanged a few glances and cousin soon realized what was happening.
- We already have everything ready for the trip - Vanya's mother spoke of Jonah as he put a generous scoop of rice in the mouth - twenty-sixth day we went to the beach and will stay there until after Carnival.
- We will also, Philip, said all the affairs of metal, so everything is completed we will also.
- We'll be together, the family should always be united - Evandro said his son causing revulsion.
For Jonah that happiness was a lie, their parents and uncles were prejudicial and futile. He was an only child and was always locked inside that house, the only person who could have contact was his cousin who was also his best friend. It has always been well studied in the best colleges but never really got involved with someone, his colleagues considered petty and futile, that gave value to things and lived insiguinificantes bragging of expensive gifts that their parents brought from abroad. Janine went to cousin's house whenever he could and the two spent the afternoon locked in a room talking about various issues and one of them was always the same, the desire to escape that Jonah had. Janine trying to get it out of his head was more difficult and when they did the two ended up fighting.
It was past midnight when everyone had gone, Jonah was preparing to talk with parents and they were preparing to sleep without knowing what awaited them.
- Father, mother. I need to talk with you is something I can not wait any longer - Jonas said holding hands was so nervous.
- My son can talk, we listen - Vania said while leafing through a gossip magazine.
- Be quick, it's late and I have some issues to address tomorrow early in construction. - Evandro completed.
- I need to tell you is simple and fast, will not take long. What I wanted to say is that I'm gay.
The deep silence engulfed the atmosphere.Evandro Vanya and exchanged looks of astonishment and despair. Evandro shifted in bed and laid her head on the pillow taking that comment as a joke.
- We do not have time for their play Jonah, go to your room and sleep, tomorrow find something useful to occupy their time.
- I'm not kidding, what I say is serious and could no longer hide it from you.
- I sincerely hope this is just a joke your my son. Do not even want to imagine that it would be shame to our family to have a gay member. - Vania said anguished waiting for her son ended up with that joke.
- Because I'm not kidding mom, what I say is serious, and do what you want more I will not change that.
- Shut up his unfortunate - Evandro yelled giving him a resounding slap in the face. - You tell us that and think what? What we are going to hand in your head and wish you good luck? You are mistaken.Tomorrow it will take you to a psychologist and you will take heed.
- No daddy, I'm not going anywhere, I know who I am and I know that I'm not sick, if anyone here needs a psychologist, that person is you.
- Get up now, grab your stuff and short of this house - Evandro said raising the child by the arms and dragging him to his room.
- We do not have my son do this, you can forget what you said and live our lives normally, the new year is coming, do not do it with our family. - Vânia spoke in tears.
- No mother, if that's what you want. It's okay for me, but listen to a thing I'll say, sooner or later you will regret what they're talking about.
Jonah turned and went to get some clothes quarter. At the exit Vânia even tried to stop his son.
- Do not do this my son. Please think of the nonsense that you're doing.
- No mother. Think you the shit they're doing. Do not worry, I will keep in touch.
Jonah put his backpack on his back and soon gained the street leaving behind his mother crying and her father nervous.
